Mechanical Design
Given inputs such as: product requirements, napkin sketches, other designs, spoken requests; we create 3D parametric models of mechanical parts and assemblies for systems such as medical devices and manufacturing equipment, and fully detailed drawing packages, ready for manufacturing.
We can apply structural analysis to minimize weight, cost, by using analytical methods and finite element analysis.
Prototyping
We leverage in-house fabrication and supplier capabilities to economically deliver the first working models of a new product, to evaluate real manufacturability, performance, and cost and uncover unexpected issues.
For products planned for low production volumes, we can use the prototyping project to find and evaluate suppliers of production parts, realizing a synergy between prototyping and transfer to production project phases which reduces total product development cost.
Manufacturing Documentation Creation
For new and existing products, we apply hands-on production technician and documentation development experience to develop smart assembly, calibration, testing processes, and corresponding trace records--and troubleshoot and improve existing processes.
Assembly and testing equipment and tools can also be designed and manufactured to accompany procedures.
Turnkey Mechanical Solutions for Manufacturing
To reduce operating expenses, increase process throughput while minimizing loading of internal resources and complexity; we take care of everything from design, to building and installing of new custom manufacturing equipment, and improvements to that existing.
Machine Repair, Maintenance, Refurbishment
Particularly but not exclusively in support of our Mechanical Design and Turnkey Mechanical Solution services; we perform repair, maintenance, and refurbishment on mechanical and electromechanical systems, at customer sites and offsite.
We visit customer-specified locations with portable tools and equipment to get systems back up and running quickly in a professional manner.
Quality Engineering
We reduce scrap and rework costs, cycle time, and improve product reliability by applying a data-driven methodology to focusing technical resources, specifically through these steps:
Consolidate and clean production assembly and testing data, and create new data collection systems as needed.
Perform statistical analysis to identify failure trends, create figures and charts for easy interpretation.
Lead meetings with key stakeholders to determine root causes and understand which failure trends represent greatest opportunities.
Develop plan with technical personnel to respond to key failure trends with supplier, process, equipment, and product design changes.
Support internal technical personnel during effort to develop solutions with technical input and by facilitating inter-team communication and collaboration.
Verify solution effectiveness and monitor for re-emergence or new new failure trends.
Custom Car Parts
We apply best engineering practices to develop good-as-factory solutions, with style.
Create direct replacements for obsolete parts and assemblies through reverse engineering.
Improve serviceability, performance, cost by adapting late-model factory parts to old assemblies.
Produce high-performance versions of existing parts.
Develop tools and processes to manufacture volumes of new parts.
Modify existing parts with custom machining.
